Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint…

21 Mar

Recently I had the pleasure of going to a new hotspot by the name of Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint. The radiant beauty of the place will surprise you by the name alone. I was thinking it’s going to be a hole in the wall with bad flooring. The only thing I could think about was The Color Purple. That’s how they will trick you though! This place had it all great food and my fave; great drinks. Once you enter, you are welcomed with excellent service and hospitality. For starters the fried green tomatoes were like biting into my grandmas secret recipe, lightly coated and fried to a golden brown crust. My drink of choice was a lemon moonshine drink it was strong and sweet perfectly mixed. For the main course I tried the fried chicken with Mac and cheese with collard greens, all I can say is praise Jesus.the chicken was perfect and the sides again tastes like my mom or grandmother, as we say “put their foot in it”. I was privileged enough to meet the executive chef who was very kind and passionate about making everyone’s experience top notch. The only fault I would say was that the bartender was so busy she couldn’t acknowledge the customers in a timely matter other than that it’s a must you visit. Where to next……
