Fashion Icons: The James Dean look over time

18 Apr

This segment I’ve created is supposed to work like this: I bring to light a fashion icon that I’m feeling for the month and I show how their signature style has transcended over time. First up is James Dean, the first style rebel who gained notoriety from his ambivalence towards anything serious, including his style of dress. But as we look back over time, I can personally say that I see that there was a nonchalant, yet deliberate method to his style that made it popular for many male and androgynous women hipsters for years to come. Check the style out as it has progressed….

The many styles of Mr. Dean

And here it is today…

Today’s Hollywood stars rocking the infamous style here in Leather and Jeans.

As most of you know, I’m not a small guy, but I can tell you I can wear this style and wear it very well. So to all the big guys out there don’t worry, this style can be accomplished by you as well with a few modifications. Don’t let size dictate your style!

My hipster look here is a spin-off of the initial style created by Dean, not exactly the same but I’m doing a good job of wearing it!

Just a few ways to wear the style the right way! Any comments/suggestions, about the style? How do you all feel about the look and how it has grown over time. I can honestly say that it’s had its ups and downs but the look is timeless and when worn correctly can be standout in any crowd. Yeek!!!
