I know that I missed yesterday’s Where’s The Fashion, but I’m on track today you guys.
Today’s Featured Restaurant is, “Lunacy Black Market”
This is one of those places that you only hear about through word of mouth. Only open for a few hours a day and is only as big as maybe 2 over-sized living rooms, this restaurant has all of the charm and intimacy you can fit in this quaint square footage. Catering to an “adult-only” crowd (the website specifically says no children), Owner Cynthia Thomet and Chef Paul Luna have created a relaxed setting that focuses on unfussy “uninspired cuisine” with great wines at affordable prices.
The menu consists of a mix of influences from the Spanish, Italian, French and Asian (yes all in one!) and is favorably called “Mediterranean Southern Cuisine”. They have an extensive wine list of whites and reds that would satisfy anyone’s palate. And if you don’t see what you like on the menu, then bring your own wine! A small corkage fee will be applied but that’s a drop in the bucket when compared to the convenience of being able to enjoy all of the great food and your own favorite wine. Sounds like a win-win to me!
I plan interview the owner and bring you a more in-depth history of this wonderful concept!
